PromegaBiotic-f® DFM is a blend of enzymes and viable cultures of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Lactobacillus casei, Enterococcus faecium, and Bacillus subtilis, among others. This synergistic blend of microorganisms has been scientifically designed to colonize two sections of the intestinal tract: the rumen and the lower gastrointestinal tract.

 

PRODUCT BENEFITS

Beneficial bacteria play an important role in the lower gastrointestinal tract of dairy cattle by:

  • Ensuring optimal pH conditions for endogenous enzyme function, thus providing an optimal environment for feed digestion;
  • Producing growth factors that stimulate the growth of beneficial bacteria such as Bifidobacteria;
  • Protecting the gastrointestinal tract by producing antibacterial substances that inhibit the proliferation of pathogens;
  • Stimulating normal intestinal development by producing volatile fatty acids;
  • Promoting gastrointestinal health by preventing pathogen colonization and stimulating the development of immunity.

MECHANISMS OF ACTION

Bacillus subtilis is a facultative anaerobe that contributes to the endogenous enzymes produced by the animal and other bacteria. These enzymes improve feed digestion and contribute to improved feed efficiency.

Lactobacillus casei and Enterococcus faecium are important bacteria for the health of the lower gastrointestinal tract. These beneficial bacteria help modulate the pH of the lower gastrointestinal tract, thus creating an optimal environment for endogenous enzymes to process feed efficiently. They produce bacteriocins that inhibit the growth of E. coli, Salmonella, and Clostridia.

 

PromegaBiotic-f® DFM contains powdered yeast culture and live yeast cells. The yeast culture provides a natural food source for rumen bacteria, while the live yeast produces metabolites that stimulate the growth of fiber and lactate-digesting bacteria. This combination of yeast culture and live yeast results in a shift in rumen fermentation to improve feed digestibility, reduce metabolic disturbances, and enhance meat and milk production.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Included in feed at a rate of:

  • 100 g per ton of feed in starter diets;
  • 30 g per ton of feed in producer diets;
  • 30 g per ton of feed in finisher diets.

Added to drinking water:

  • 10 g per liter of water in the starter phase;
  • 5 g per liter of water for the remainder of the production cycle.

Guaranteed Analysis:

Viable yeast: min. 1.8 x 1012 cells/kg.

Total microbial count: min. 2.5 x 1012 CFU/kg

STORAGE

  • The recommended storage temperature is 5 to 25°C.
  • Do not continuously expose to temperatures above 40°C.
  • Do not freeze.
  • Store out of direct sunlight in a well-ventilated area.
  • Close the packaging after each use.

Shelf life

Two years if stored as recommended.

In plastic containers with safety lids containing 10kg or 20kg or bags with 1kg each or bags with 250g each.
